Social Marketing Study to Increase Food Stamp Participation Among the Elderly
Amount of award,
Health Systems Research, Inc.
This project utilizes social marketing research methods for the development of a food stamp outreach program tailored to the elderly. After conducting 15 focus groups drawn from three ethnic groups, the project will construct an outreach marketing plan and a set of outreach materials. The project will include both English speaking and non-English speaking focus groups made up of low-income elderly. The project is designed to provide input to the Food Stamp Program about how the program can better reach eligible nonparticipating elderly.
