Detailed Objective: This project provides financial support for the Committee on National Statistics
(CNSTAT) at the National Research Council, National Academy of Sciences, National
Science Foundation, for support of its core research program. CNSTAT conducts
research on statistical issues of national interest, including the 2000 Census,
poverty estimates for small areas, measuring the effects of social welfare reform,
performance measures of public health programs, the use of statistical formulas
in legislation for fund allocations, confidentiality and data access, and other
issues. The Economic Research Service provided $26,200 to the National Science
Foundation fiscal years 1999 through 2002 in support of the project. |
